Oceanside's San Luis Rey River project will receive a $26 million infusion of federal funding to repair levees and remove sediment, with the goal of lessening flood risks in the area.
Sen. Alex Padilla announced the funding on Friday, according to the Times of San Diego. The $26 million allocation represents the largest portion of more than $32 million in federal funds designated for seven projects across San Diego County.
