Oceanside's San Luis Rey River project is getting a $26 million infusion to repair levees and remove sediment, Times of San Diego reports. The river project is the largest beneficiary of more than $32 million in federal funding awarded to seven projects in San Diego County.
The improvements aim to reduce flood risks for surrounding areas.
