Oceanside Police Target Beachfront Car Burglaries

Vehicle break-ins near Oceanside's beachfront has prompted a stepped-up response from the Oceanside Police Department (OPD). The OPD is increasing patrols and launching targeted operations to deter criminals and protect residents and visitors.Parking lots near the Strand, the Oceanside Pier, and along Coast Highway have been particularly hard hit. Thieves often target these locations because of the large number of tourists and beachgoers who leave valuables in their vehicles. The OPD has noted a
